The Foundation of the Church

The Church has one foundation, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and is pledged to affirm Biblical Christianity. The Church Apostolic and Universal includes all those who have placed their personal trust in Christ alone for salvation. The Church is the Body and the Bride of Christ. (Ephesians 2:19-22; I Corinthians 3:11) and is in harmony with the evangelical spirit.

What we believe and teach

1. The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the only inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God for faith and practice.
2. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. Our Lord Jesus Christ is God and Man in one person. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit, atoned for sin through His shed blood and death. He was bodily resurrected and ascended to the right hand of God the Father and will bodily return in power and glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
4. Reneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of the lost and sinful man (ye must be born again).
5. Eternal Life is received by faith, such saving faith being trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and not mere intellectual assent to the historical reality of Jesus Christ.
6. The Holy Spirit indwells all true believers empowering them to live a Godly life.
7. Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected from the dead; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal condemnation.
8. There is spiritual unity of all true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
9. The local church is the God-established base for Evangelistic and Missionary activity in the world.
10. Every true believer is commissioned by Jesus Christ to preach and teach the Gospel to every creature and to make disciples of all nations.
11. The Gifts of the Spirit as listed in I Corinthians 12 are very much alive and should be a part of the Church.

Sacraments

There are two Sacraments ordained by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, namely Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

1. Water Baptism symbolizes the redemptive work of Jesus Christ declaring the believer's death to his old life, burial, and resurrection in Christ and identification in the Body of Christ. ( Romans 6:4-6; Colossians 2:12; II Corinthians 5:17; I Corinthians 12:13). Baptism is administered by immersion. New Testament baptism is a baptism of believers and is, therefore, a public proclamation of membership in the Body of Christ.

2. The Lord's Supper shall be open to all who desire to receive it with repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
